Do I have to come with someone to receive the treatments?

Yes, for all the treatments we perform you must be accompanied, whether for an intravenous infusion, an infiltration or to place a capsaicin patch, it is strictly necessary. This is due to the fact that in many cases we administer a mild sedation so the patient may feel a little unstable when leaving the operating room.

Can I eat and drink after surgery?

You can both eat and drink when you leave the operating room. We recommend starting with a small amount of liquid to check that it feels good, once this is done, you can eat avoiding heavy meals. This is due to the fact that the patient has been fasting for a long time, and if we administer sedation he/she may not feel well with food.

What type of medication is administered?

It depends on the procedure to be performed. Normally, local anesthetics such as Lidocaine, Bupivacaine or Ropivacaine are used for infiltrations, as well as glucocorticoids at low doses such as Dexamethasone, Triamcinolone or Betamethasone.

If any intravenous treatment is performed, the doses of medication are stipulated by the physician for each patient. In addition, if necessary and under medical indication, intravenous anti-inflammatory drugs such as paracetamol, enantyum, etc. may also be administered. Therefore, you should indicate if you are allergic to any medication.

Do I have to stay in bed after the procedure?

Normally, we indicate a couple of days of relative rest, we provide a post-procedure instruction sheet together with the medical report detailing the treatment performed.

Is there a follow-up after the procedure?

Yes, normally when you leave the operating room you have to make an appointment at the counter where you will be given a subsequent visit with your doctor to assess the degree of improvement.
