Pain Unit in Talavera de la Reina with MIVI Salud
At our pain unit in Talavera de la Reina we treat patients with acute and chronic pain from the city and the surrounding area, using the same approach as every other MIVI unit: comprehensive, personalised and evidence-based care.
Everything starts with a thorough medical assessment. We study the origin and mechanism of your pain, how it affects your daily life and what you expect from treatment. From there we design a tailored treatment plan, which may combine medication, minimally invasive interventional techniques and rehabilitation, without having to travel to Toledo or Madrid.
The unit is led by Dr. Alberto Gómez León, a specialist in Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, accredited by the World Institute of Pain as FIPP and CIPS, two international certifications in interventional pain medicine.

Dr. Alberto Gómez León is a specialist in interventional techniques and state-of-the-art minimally invasive treatments for chronic pain. At MIVI Toledo and MIVI Talavera, he applies an advanced, safe and personalized approach to offer effective solutions aimed at improving the functionality, autonomy and quality of life of each patient. He has extensive experience in procedures guided by cutting-edge technology and a solid training supported by international certifications. He is accredited by the World Institute of Pain as FIPP (Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice) and CIPS (Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist), recognitions granted only to highly qualified specialists in the field of interventional pain. His clinical practice is complemented by an important trajectory in teaching and research. At MIVI Toledo and MIVI Talavera he works in coordination with a multidisciplinary team, with the aim of understanding the individual needs of each patient and offering tailored, outpatient treatments with a high standard of clinical safety.
