Morton’s neuroma

What is

Foot pain due to Morton’s neuroma is caused by an inflammation of one of the nerves that runs through the foot and is called plantar digital nerve.
It is one of the most common causes of pain in the front of the foot and sometimes its intensity leads to the sufferer not being able to put on shoes or support the affected foot.

Causes

Gait and footwear can influence this type of pathology and pain.

It is postulated that repeated impact with a bad footprint can lead to the triggering of this pathology.

Symptoms

This pain usually comes on suddenly and worsens when walking. The patient feels it as an electrical sensation, cramping or tingling. The symptoms of this type of pain are usually very suggestive and sufficient, but sometimes it is necessary to have tests such as an ultrasound and an MRI to confirm it.

Diagnosis and assessment

A correct medical evaluation will be necessary by means of a good anamnesis and physical examination. The multidisciplinary vision is essential for a comprehensive approach (requiring the intervention of professionals in biomechanics, podiatry and physiotherapy), personalized, focused on detecting the factors that have produced the injury.

Complementary tests

X-ray, ultrasound and/or magnetic resonance imaging.

Treatment

Buenos días. Hice Fisioterapia y Magnetoterapia por casi dos meses. La verdad, me he sentido muy a gusto. Son todos muy cariñosos y amables, desde Paula la secretaria. Fui atendida principalmente por Juan, un chico joven,serio y responsable. La verdad me tuvo bastante paciencia jiji. En general había un buen rollo entre todos. Incluso los pacientes llegábamos a compartir entre nosotros mismos. Quizás podrían mejorar en No coincidir tantos pacientes a la misma hora y con el mismo Fisio, ya que en mi opinión resta un poco la calidad del tratamiento. Gracias por todo, recomendado 100x 100.

Son “mi ángel de la salvación” porque ningún “médico” hacía por encontrarle a mi dolor una solución. Pero más que profesionales son mejores personas. Llevo ya dos infiltraciones y voy poco a poco recuperando calidad de vida, no era persona, tras una operación de cervicales. Confío ciegamente en ellos. Son súper amables y lo gestionan todo con una eficacia, limpieza y orden admirable. Se ve que tienen vocación y están en una unidad donde el paciente tiene dolor y una sonrisa, ayuda a calmar. Hace muchos años que comencé a ir por distintas dolencias, y a otro sitio nunca fui. Hay MUY BUENOS PROFESIONALES Y TODOS MUY CERCANOS CON LOS PACIENTES. También en la recepción hay un personal muy amable y resolutivo al momento de tener que sacar citas y aclara alguna duda que pueda tener.
