What is the hyperbaric chamber

Hyperbaric chamber treatment is a non-invasive therapy in which the patient breathes 100% oxygen in a pressurized environment above normal atmospheric pressure.

Oxygen, being able to dissolve in greater quantities in the blood and tissues, promotes cell regeneration, reduces inflammation, improves blood flow and accelerates the recovery process of muscle, bone or tendon injuries.

This type of oxygen therapy provides benefits both in injury and healing processes as well as in recovery after intense efforts typical of sports.

For which pathologies is it indicated

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is indicated for a variety of clinical conditions and processes, including:

Chronic fatigue or delayed recovery

The Procedure

Diagnosis and assessment

Before starting treatment, it is essential to perform an individualized clinical assessment.

During this consultation, the specialized healthcare professional will conduct a detailed interview, together with a physical examination and analysis of the available complementary tests, in order to accurately determine the therapeutic indication and ensure the maximum safety and efficacy of the procedure.

Treatment

The patient enters the hyperbaric chamber, where he/she will breathe pure oxygen in a pressurized environment for a certain time (usually between 60 and 90 minutes).

This increase of oxygen in the tissues promotes biological mechanisms that favor regeneration, healing and functional recovery after injuries or intense efforts.

The procedure is safe, controlled and supervised at all times by qualified personnel.

Maintenance

The number and frequency of sessions will be established on a personalized basis, depending on the patient’s diagnosis and clinical evolution.

Estoy encantado con el trato recibido tanto en recepción como por parte del equipo médico. Very professional and the treatment has helped me to survive the summer. I had one injection in May but due to too much tension it did not work as well and I was offered a new treatment mid July that worked much better. The injection are done at the Kiron hospital in a very professional setting. Both the doctor and the assistant are client oriented and make you feel taken care of.
